Change a user's preferred language

Introduction

Users may set their preferred displayed language in the blog backend administration area. This will change the language of menus, buttons, and other elements. Editors can change the language displayed for another user.

Before you start

You'll need a user account.

To change another user's language, you'll need an account with Editor privileges.

Steps

To change your own language:

1. Log in to your blog at http://www.yourblog.com/wp-admin/.

2. On the left-hand side, click Profile. 

3. Under Personal Options, change the preferred language in the dropdown menu.

4. Scroll down and click Update Profile.

To change another user's preferred language:

1. Log in to your blog at http://www.yourblog.com/wp-admin/.

2. On the left-hand side, click Users.

3. Click a user profile to edit.

4. Under Personal Options, change the preferred language in the dropdown menu.

5. Scroll down and click Update Profile.
