To get started, you sign up for a site and pick a starter design. Depending on your platform, you create a site by one of two ways:
- Your administrator sends you a signup link where you title your site and create your user account.
- Your administrator creates your user account on the platform and you create a site after logging in.
Creating a site through a signup link
- Click the signup link provided by your organization.
- Select a starter design, then click Next. You can change the design later or customize certain elements like your typography, colors, or firm logo.
- On the next page, enter a temporary site URL. You will use this URL to access your site's administrative pages before the site launches. You will pick a final domain, e.g., anewlegalblog.com, later in the launch process.
- Enter a site title. The title will appear in places like the site masthead or in the footer. You can change the title later.
- Click Next.
- On the next page, set up your user account by entering your email address and choosing a username. You will use these credentials to log in to your site.
- Click Create Site. You will receive an email with a link to set your password.
- Click the link in the email to access the reset password page.
- Enter a secure password, then click Reset Password. You will be logged in to your site and taken to your homepage.
- At the top of the page you will see a toolbar with several menu items. Hover your cursor over the site title and click the menu items to visit the Dashboard, view users or posts, or perform other setup tasks:
