Change a post's publish date

A post's publish date controls its displayed date and position in date-sorted lists. This article explains how to change it.

Warning

Changing the date of a homepage post, or making an older post recent again, may trigger another subscriber email campaign.

Before you start

• To edit another user's post, you must be an Editor or Administrator.

Steps

1. Open a post to edit.
2. If the settings sidebar is hidden, click Settings in the top bar. Select the Post tab.
3. In Summary, click the value beside Publish. It may read Immediately or show the current date.
4. In Change publish date, enter the new date and time. Confirm the displayed time zone.
5. Click Save for a published post. For an unpublished post, click Publish or Schedule and complete the pre-publish review.
