This article explains how to publish a new post. Posts appear on your blog homepage in reverse chronological order.
Similar to common word processing programs like Microsoft Word or Google Docs, our block editor system allows formatting options for hyperlinks, images, lists, pull quotes, emphasized text, and simple tables. The block editor also allows for modern web-based features, including embedded podcast and video players, featured images, and more.
Before you start
- You'll need a user account with an Author role or higher.
Steps
- Log in to your site.
- Click Posts > Add New:
- Enter your post title.
- Write your content in the editor and format as needed using the Block Toolbar or Block Inserter:
- If you're pasting content from another program like Microsoft Word, some formatting may need to be added back with Text Blocks.
- Click Save Draft, then Preview to see how the post will appear after it's published. Close the Preview tab when you're done.
- Click Publish.
