Site Title & Tagline widget reference

The font size, color, and styling of your site's title is controlled by the Site Title & Tagline widget. This widget is typically used in a site header and footer. Users with an Administrator role can edit the widget by clicking Appearance > Widgets or Appearance > Customizer.

 

You can change your title and tagline in Site Settings > Site Information.

 

Site Title & Tagline widget fields

Full Title Font Size

Set the title size in pixels.

 

Full Title Font Color

Select the title font color.

 

Text Shadow Color

Select a shadow color for the title and tagline.

 

Full Title Font Family

Give the title the same font as the body or header fonts.

 

Full Title Font Weight

Give the title a bold, normal, or lighter font weight.

 

Full Title Font Style

Italicize, uppercase, underline the font, or shrink it by 15 percent.

 

Title Accent Style

Title accent style allows you to apply custom styling to one or more words in the title. For example, if your site title is four words long, you can apply colors and italics to the last two words:

Select Title Accent Words

Enter numerical values to specify which words get the accent styling. For example, if your site title is four words long, the values below determine which are accented:

  • 3-4: Applies accent styling to the last two words.
  • 1, 3: Applies accent styling to the first and third words.
  • 1-2, 4: Applies accent styling to the first, second, and fourth words.

 

Title Accent Font Color

Sets how the accent color is applied to the accent words:

  • Theme Accent Color: Applies the accent color to the font.
  • Background color: Applies the accent color as a background box.

You select the accent color in the Customizer's Globals > Colors > Accent Color panel.

 

Title Accent Font Family

Sets the accent words to the same font family as the body text or header text.

 

Title Accent Font Weight

Gives the accent words a bold or lighter font treatment.

 

Title Accent Font Style

Styles the accent words with italics, bold, and uppercase, or shrink the words by 15 percent.

 

Tagline style

Tagline Font Size

Set the tagline size in pixels.

 

Tagline Color

Select the title font color.

 

Tagline Font Family

Give the tagline the same font as the body or header fonts.

 

Tagline Font Weight

Gives the accent words a bold or lighter font treatment.

 

Tagline Font Style

Styles the accent words with italics, bold, and uppercase, or shrink the words by 15 percent.

 

Site Logo Options

These options affect how your site logo appears in your title.

 

Hide Options

Allows you to hide the title or tagline from the widget. This is often used when the site title appears in the footer, but you don't want to display the tagline.
