Set a Featured Image

A Featured Image displays prominently above a post or page title. This article explains how to select one in the current editor.

Before you start

• Have a JPEG or PNG in the Media Library or saved on your computer.
• For best results, use a landscape image at least 1440 by 756 pixels. Do not use an image smaller than 1200 by 630 pixels.
• You can crop an image in the Media Library or find one with Snapshots.

Steps

1. Open a post or page to edit.
2. If the settings sidebar is hidden, click Settings in the top bar. Select the Post tab.
3. Near the top of the Post summary, click Set featured image.
4. Select an existing image in Media Library, or select Upload files to add one from your computer.
5. Select the image, then click Set Featured Image.
6. For posts, use Featured Image Positon in the Post sidebar if you need to align the image left, center, or right.
7. Click Save, Save draft, or Publish, depending on the content's current status.
