What is Snapshots?
Snapshots is the LexBlog Platform’s new built-in image library—powered by Unsplash. Users can search directly from the post editor to find images to be used either as Featured Images or within the post body.
You’ll see it below the post editor but you can also click and drag it to the right side if you prefer.
Unsplash is one of the leading sources of freely usable images on the Internet. A community of hundreds of thousands of photographers submit their photos and Unsplash, in their own words, “hand-select every photo and accept only the best.” Snapshots is powered by the Unsplash API, which is trusted by the likes of Medium, Squarespace, Mailchimp, Facebook and Google.
What about the legal side of this?
All images served up by Snapshots are subject to Unsplash’s Terms & Conditions.
Do I have to worry about inappropriate images being surfaced?
You do not. We’ve set up a filter so that all mature content will be filtered out.
How do I know the images will fit?
We’ve made sure that only horizontal/landscape images will appear in the results, so that they better fit your blog.
Can I crop or adjust the image once I’ve selected it?
Absolutely. Same as you would any other image, you can click on the image where it appears—whether as a featured image or in the post body and make the necessary adjustments, such as cropping the image, setting a focal point and so on.
