Change your admin area color scheme

You can change the color scheme of your site's administration area. Before saving your choice, the selector shows a preview of the new color scheme. Changing your color scheme does not affect the colors on the front end of your site. This article explains how to change your admin area color scheme.


Before you start

You'll need a user account on your site.



  1. Log in to your site.
  2. If you're an Author or Contributor, navigate to Profile. If you're an Editor, navigate to Users > Your Profile.
  3. Under Admin Color Scheme, select a color scheme:

    Your menus will update to show a preview of the new color scheme.
  4. To save your selection, scroll down and click Update Profile.
