Find a user ID

Each site user has a unique ID that can be used to populate specific information in widgets and pages. The ID is a string of numbers. This document explains how to find a user's ID.

Before you start

• You'll need a user account with an Editor role or higher.

Steps

1. Log in to your site.
2. Navigate to Users > All Users:
   
3. On the Users page, click a username to edit their profile.
4. On the Edit User page, check the URL in your browser address bar. Look for user_id= followed by a string of numbers:
   
   
   
   In the example above, 1468 is the user's ID.
