LexBlog sites include the Yoast SEO plugin to simplify search engine optimization (SEO). The plugin includes a content analysis tool to suggest ways to improve your content's readability and search engine ranking. This article explains the features of the Yoast content analysis tool.
Viewing the Yoast SEO box
When editing posts and pages, the Yoast SEO box appears below the content editor and Authors boxes. You may have to enable the Yoast SEO box by adjusting your Screen Options.
Content Optimization tab
The Yoast tool is a guide and not all of the feedback may apply to your content or goals. For example, the analysis bullets may not always appear green.
Focus keywords and SEO analysis
- Snippet preview: Displays how your content will appear in either mobile or desktop search engine results. You can also edit the snippet.
- Focus keyword: Enter a focus keyword for the post or page. Yoast recommends long tail keywords as part of your SEO strategy.
- You can also mark the post as cornerstone content.
- Analysis: Analyzes the SEO for the content and makes suggestions to improve it.
Meta robots index, follow, and advanced
