Customize your global site colors

Global colors affect site-wide settings like body text, link color, or border color. You can change the global color settings for your site in the Customizer. You can override some global colors by customizing individual elements, such as text colors in sidebar widgets or link colors in footer text. Depending on your design, some color settings may not apply to your site. This articles explains how to edit your site's global colors.


Before you start

  • Your site must be on a Professional, Boutique, or Full Service plan.
  • You must have a user account with an Administrator role.



  1. Log in to your site.
  2. Navigate to Appearance > Customize. In the Customizer, click GlobalsDesign Assets & Colors.
  3. For any of the global color options, click Select Color. Then enter a hex value, or choose a color from the color picker.
  4. Click Publish.
